While the Washington Wizards will be returning to Orlando when the NBA restarts they will be without a key piece of their offense as forward Davis Bertans has elected to sit out the coming resumed season.
The 27-year-old is on the cusp of a potential lucrative off-season posting career highs in points (15.9), minutes (29.3) while shooting 42% from 3-point range making him one of the most lethal sixth man in the league, according to ESPN.
Bertans has had an injury history with two previous ACL injuries so the move makes a bit of sense considering Washington is 5.5 games behind the eighth-place Orlando Magic for playoff contention.
In addition, to Bertans Blazers' forward Trevor Arizia is too opting out participation in the NBA"s Orlando restart of the season to commit to a one-month visitation window with his young son, according to ESPN.
