Washington quarterback Alex Smith was placed on the physically unable to perform list after conducting physicals for its rookies and quarterbacks on Monday.
According to ESPN, Smith has yet to be cleared by the team for football activity and will continue to work with trainers, conditioning staff and strength coordinators during practices before increasing his football acidity and be fully medically clear to join the team.
Entering his 14th season, the former Utah Ute had a horrifying broken tibia injury that required 17 surgeries and almost an amputation of his right leg so the fact that Smith is even on the field is nothing short of a miracle.
If the Washington Football team medically clears Smith to play and he starts he will be the first player in NFL history to make a full recovery from such an injury.
