Washington Football Team to release veteran running back Adrian Peterson

Chris's Corner

Another big fish has made it to the open market as the Washington Football team released running back Adrian Peterson Friday.

According to ESPN, the 35-year-old lead the team in rushing over the past two seasons amassing 1,940 yards and 12 touchdowns but the Washington team wants to progress with younger dual threat backs.

Peterson has spent 14 seasons in the NFL rushing for 14,216 yards, good for fifth-best ever in NFL History and four-best ever in touchdowns scored by a running back with 111.

The NFL MVP, seven-time Pro-Bowler and four-time All-Pro will surely gain plenty of interests from teams like the Jaguars, Bears, Patriots, Chiefs and Saints for a team that needs a strong, powerful, dominant north-south runner who can finish in the red-zone.
