Washington made NFL history Monday announcing the hiring of Jason Wright as the team’s president.
According to ESPN, he is the first black team president in NFL history and only the fourth former NFL player (former running back) to ascend to that role.
The Washington Football team has been without a president since Bruce Allen was fired after the 2019 season.
Wright will have his work come out for him as Washington has historically and notoriously had one of the worst cultures for years including an environment of toxicity and sexual harassment towards female employees just last season but with the hirings of Wright, Ron Rivera and changing the team name, Washington is finally progressively heading in the right direction.
