Nate Meyer, son of Hall-of-Fame retired coach Urban Meyer will walk-on at Cincinnati as a receiver, according to Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell.
Meyer will be a junior this Fall and primarily has been on the Bearcats baseball team as an outfielder. Nate played his high school ball at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio when his dad Urban was collecting National Championship Trophies at Ohio State.
The move makes all the sense in the world as Fickell was replaced by Urban Meyer as Ohio State’s coach in 2011 and served under him during that tenure as defensive coordinator before taking the Bearcats head coaching spot in 2016.
Urban Meyer has won three national titles as a head coach with Bowling Green, Florida and most recently, Ohio State, according to ESPN.
