The UCLA Bruins have found their next athletic director as the school announced the hiring of Martin Jarmond last Saturday.
According to BCEagles.com, Jarmond was hired in June of 2017 at the ripe age of 37, becoming the youngest athletic director hiring in Power Five history. Previous to this, he served as a deputy director of athletics for Ohio State from 2009 to 2016.
Jarmond replaces Dan Guerro, who was the second-longest tenured AD in the Power Five serving that position since 2002, according to ESPN. He continues to make history becoming the school’s first black Athletic Director.
