U.S. American sprinter Christian Coleman was temporarily banned from competition by the Athletics Integrity Unit on Wednesday.
According to ESPN, the AIU were unable to contact/find Coleman around Christmas for his December drug test leading to his third infraction in a 12-month period leading to a potential two-year ban.
The reigning 100-meter title Gold champion had his previous charges last year dropped but his current-charge could rule him out of the Olympic Tokyo games next year if it still stands in court.
According to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency athletes are required to list their whereabouts for every hour of the day they are going to be tested. A violation means the athlete either: did not fill out the forms accurately or were not in the location where they said they’d be when testers arrived.
With the ban, Coleman becomes the third Olympic athlete to be suspended joining 400-meter champion Salwa Eid Nasar of Bahrain and former U.S. 200-meter champion Deejah Stevens.
