In a shocking move, junior Texas cornerback Anthony Cooks announced Friday that he will now play one more down with Longhorns football.
Cooks was set to compete as a starter for the upcoming season opposite of Jalen Green and alongside D’Shawn Jamison according to SB Nation.
The former four star recruit from Houston (Lamar). The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder started six games as a sophomore totaling 24 tackles and a coupe passes defended according to ESPN.
The Longhorns will need step-ups from senior Josh Thompson and sophomores Chris Adimora and Kenyatta Watson II next season
