Tennessee Titans, Edge Jadeveon Clowney agree to a one-year, $15 million dollar deal

Chris's Corner

Well it looks like Jadeveon Clowney has finally found a home as the Tennessee Titans signed the talented pass rusher to a one-year deal Saturday.

According to ESPN, the deal is up to $15 million with incentives and reunites the edge with current Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel who was Clowney’s defensive coordinator in Houston.

Under Vrabel, Clowney had his best season up to date in 2017 collecting a career-high 9.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss while playing in all 16 games.

Coming out of South Carolina, Clowney was renowned for one of the best hits of the decade during the Gamecocks bowl game against the Michigan Wolverines but since being drafted number one in the 2014 NFL draft, Clowney has only played one full season due to injuries.

Last season, he was limited to just three sacks while battling a lingering core injury that required off-season surgery.

Still, the three-time Pro-Bowler had many suitors during this off-season including the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks but has found a home in a retooling Titans defense.
