The troubling journey for Josh Gordon continues as the Seattle Seahawks are taking a chance on the troubled receiver signing him to a one-year deal Thursday.
According to ESPN, the 29-year-old applied for reinstatement in Mid-June after he suspended for the millionth time indefinitely for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and is still waiting on the league’s decision to bring him back but Seattle is taking a chance.
The suspension, all jokes aside, was Gordon’s sixth since the 2013 season and the fifth form of substance abuse.
Rumors were speculating that Seattle may be looking toward signing embattled Antonio Brown but elected the lower risk of two greater evils would be Gordon.
The former Baylor Bear and Cleveland Brown hauled in 11 receptions for 139 yards in five games for Seattle last season before his suspension.
