No one sustained more injuries in week two than the San Francisco 49ers Sunday.
According to ESPN, five players including: Jimmy G, Raheem Moestert, Solomon Thomas, Tevin Coleman and Nick Bosa all sustained significant injuries in a 31-13 beatdown of the New York Jets in Metlife Stadium.
Fortunately, Jimmy G (high ankle sprain), Raheem Moestert and Tevin Coleman (knee), Dee Ford (neck), Solomon Thomas (knee/ankle) all sustained significant injuries and are likely to miss time but still play this season.
As for Nick Bosa, he suffered a torn ACL that will require season-ending surgery sidelining the rest of his 2020 football year.
Numerous players including Deebo Samuel and Arik Armstead took to Twitter to voice their concerns regarding Metlife’s tumultuous turf issues that have been known for quite some time.
Head coach Mike Shanahan told the media the team will likely sign veteran edge rusher Ziggy Ensah to try to fortify the defensive line and will need the others to recover safely and quickly as San Francisco will be back in that same stadium taking on the New York Giants this coming Sunday.
