Washington Redskins receiver Cody Latimer was arrested early Saturday Morning after shots were reportedly fired inside a Douglas County Colorado apartment, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's department.
A witness of the incident heard arguing amongst two individuals (one believed to be Latimer) and what sounded like gunshots inside the apartment. One individual identified as having minor (non-gun related) injuries thereafter, according to ESPN.
The 27-year-old was booked on second-degree assault charges and illegal discharge of a firearm (as well as prohibited use of weapon/reckless endangerment). Latimer posted a $25,000 bond, according to the police department.
Latimer spent two seasons with the New York Giants then four with the Denver Broncos and most recently signed with the Washington Redskins this off-season. According to Pro-Football Reference, he has 70 receptions for 935 yards and six touchdowns in his six seasons as a pro.
