The Portland Trailblazers season is basically over as superstar point guard Damian Lillard will miss Game 5 against the Lakers with a right knee sprain.
According to ESPN, Lillard underwent an MRI on a drive to the hoop in which he planted his right foot in a Lakers blowout. He then left the game underwent an MRI that was inconclusive and upon a secondary review doctors found the sprain.
Lillard finished the 135-115 drubbing with just 9 points off 3-for-9 shooting in 27 minutes. The Weber State standout was already playing with a dislocated left finger during the last two games but with Los Angeles taking a commanding 3-1 lead Portland’s playoff chances are all but over now that Lillard is out.
The Blazers just need both he and CJ McCollum (fractured back) back to full health along with a recovered Zach Collins so Portland can return to playoff contention once more.
