The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a major piece of their defensive puzzle Sunday as linebacker Devin Bush is out for the season with a torn ACL.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Michigan Product suffered the ACL injury after hitting Browns running back D’Ernest Johnson on an incomplete pass. He then would proceed to leave the field where it was found the stud linebacker suffered a season-halting knee injury.
The 22-year-old was drafted by the Steelers with the No. 10 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and started 15 games as a rookie tallying 109 tackles with four fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
This season, Pittsburgh’s defense has been exceptional and Bush has been an integral piece totaling 21 tackles and 0.5 sacks in four games.
Backups Robert Spillane and Marcus Allen will look to play more in the right interior backer position moving forward as the Steelers play Derrick Henry in the Titans in Nashville this Sunday.
