The coronavirus has now hit home toward NFL coaches as Doug Pederson announced Sunday he tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to ESPN, the 52-year-old Philly Eagles head coach said he was asymptomatic and doing well, being self-quarantined and continuing to speak with the medical staff on an ongoing basis.
According to the Eagles, Pederson will now need numerous negative tests before he can return back to work but currently, he will lead the Eagles via virtually with assistant coach Duce Staley taking over day-to-day operations.
With the announcement, Pederson became the second coach to contract the virus joining New Orleans Saints’ coach Sean Payton.
