PGA announces golf will return soon

The PGA Tour announced Thursday morning that professional golf will return. This is the first professional sport to announce its return amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The professional golf association will begin at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 11-14, followed by a weekly run of four tour events through Thanksgiving, according to ESPN.

No fans will be present during these tournaments as a precautionary to avoid any further outbreak cases. The PGA has the capability to cancel any or all of these events if necessary.
