Former Wake Forest Center Olivier Sarr will play for Kentucky next Fall. According to ESPN, Sarr was one of the most coveted big men via the transfer portal this off-season. The French junior averaged 13-points, 9-boards off 53% shooting for the Demon Deacons last season.
Following the firing of head coach Danny Manning, Sarr elected to enter the transfer portal and had many suitors including: Duke, Baylor, Florida State and Gonzaga but chose Big Blue Nation as his best fit.
Kentucky (as usual) lost six players early to the NBA Draft and another player transferred to UCLA. The Wildcats welcome in a top ranked 2020 recruiting class and the perfect pairing will be they and Sarr.
The seven-footer averaged 11 double-doubles and earned third-team All-ACC honors last season.
