Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy is finding himself in the news for all the wrong reasons.
The Cowboys head coach was accused by a former player of using a racial slur in a 1989 game only a week after he was under fire for a controversial/racist shirt he was wearing that was unearthed on Twitter.
According to ESPN, Alfred Williams, a former star linebacker at Colorado along with a slew of other players said that Gundy, a quarterback for Oklahoma State at the time used a racial slur during the Buffs 41-17 victory over the Cowboys.
Gundy has denied the allegation and Oklahoma State declined to comment. The school did not say they have wanted to fire Gundy but would like to see “significant growth,” moving forward.
