The Oklahoma Sooners locked in a key piece of their football squad in head coach Lincoln Riley agreed to a new six-year contract through the 2025 season.
According to ESPN, the agreement adds two more years to Riley’s current contract locking in one of college football’s best coaches in Norman for the foreseeable future.
The deal increases Riley’s salary to $6 million annually, good for ninth-best in the FBS.
The 36-year-old is 36-6 in three seasons as Oklahoma’s coach with three Big 12 titles and three College Football Playoff appearances and two Heisman winners in Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield.
