Well it looks like the coronavirus has fully hit the professional football teams in the great state of Texas as reportedly several players from both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans have tested positive for the virus, the teams announced Monday.
The biggest name among the players was Pro-Bowl Cowboys running back Zeke Elliott according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This is something that was predicted by the NFL’s chief medical officer, Dr. Allen Sills with the expectation from him was that these “cases will rise,” after Broncos star edge Von Miller tested positive a few months ago.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell issued a June 8th memo with coronavirus safety/CDC guidelines to follow to initiate players returning to facilities for workouts but with this outbreak there may be a setback in that ultimate process.
