The National Football league announced in conjunction with the NFL Players Association they will be removing the final two preseason games therefore removing the entire preseason this coming 2020 season.
According to CBS Sports, the league, previously, announced the Hall of Game, originally scheduled Aug. 8th was cancelled due to coronavirus concerns. The Players Association then lobbied for two of the four preseason games to be removed which was approved by the league and now there will be no preseason due to the eversteady effect of the worldwide spread of the coronavirus.
This will be the first time there will be no preseason in decades but yet the league is still optimistic finalizing its coronavirus and safety guideline protocols for the coming season.
According to the article, NFLPA medical director Thom Mayer announced players will be tested up to three times a week to potentially prevent the spread of the virus as well as fans possibly being required to sign a waiver before attending home games for additional safety precautions as well.
