The New Orleans Saints are finalizing a deal to sign former-Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston to a one year-deal. The former Tampa Bay Buc did something last season no other quarterback has ever done, throwing for 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions along with 5,109 passing yards.
He will compete with do-it-all specialist Taysom Hill whom the Saints also have a two-year extension worth $21 million (with $16 million guaranteed), according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
New Orleans topped it off by drafting former Mississippi State Bulldog quarterback Tommy Stevens with pick No. 240 in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The Saints will certainly have a crowded quarterback room beyond starter and future Hall-of-Famer Drew Brees.
