New England’s ground-and-pound attack will be without their starting running back for a while as Sony Michel was placed on the Patriots injured reserve Monday.
According to ESPN, Michel has battled ongoing knee injuries since the Pats drafted him in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft but has only missed three games because of them.
Now a quad injury has sidelined the former Georgia Bulldog for at least three games but New England has quite the reinforcements, veterans Rex Burkhead, James White along with rookie J.J. Taylor and second-year player Damien Harris all can ball.
The 25-year-old has rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown through three games for the New England Patriots this season.
