The Patriots coronavirus woes continued as three more players were placed on the COVID-19 List Saturday.
According to CBS Sports, New England running back Sony Michel, left guard Shaq Mason and defensive end Derek Rivers were all placed on the coronavirus team list after close contact with one Patriots player or staffer that tested positive for the deadly virus.
According to league protocol, these players will be unavailable to play or practice for five days until they pass a negative test.
This means these three starters will be unavailable for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos in Foxborough Sunday afternoon.
Expect Cam Newton and running back Damien Harris to see the ball early and often being New England’s much-needed offense against a rebuilding Broncos squad.
