Great news for college basketball as the NCAA announced Wednesday the return of both Men’s and Women’s hoops on Nov. 25th.
According to ESPN, there will be no exhibition or preseason games prior to the season and the NCAA Council picked the date mainly because “76%” of all Division I schools will have concluded or nearly concluded their fall semester therefore releasing most if not all students on campus.
Preseason practices can begin Oct. 14, with 30 practices over 42 days until the start of the season. Once the season begins, the men’s division will be allowed to play 24 or 25 games plus one-multiple team event. As for the women’s division, teams will be allowed to play 23 games plus one-multiple team event.
Exciting news for Blue Bloods such as Kansas Duke and Kentucky and wildcards like Wichita State who can’t wait to play and of course, arguably the best sports time in the country, “March Madness,” coming to a tv screen near you.
