NASCAR will return to action at Darlington Raceway May 17. According to ESPN, the 400-mile Cup Series where there will be seven races including four Cup Series races over an 11-day span.
Three of those races will be at Darlington Raceway, one of NASCAR’s oldest raceways and the other four will be Charlotte Motor Speedway. None of these May events will include fans. NASCAR joins the UFC as the first two returning sports following the coronavirus epidemic.
NASCAR is following several precautionary procedures following the COVID-19 outbreak
But crewmembers and drivers will not be tested for the coronavirus according to John Bobo, Vice President of racing operations.
