On the same day that Chris Jones signed a monster extension, the Browns one-upped Kansas City, resigning star edge Myles Garrett to a five-year, $125 million extension Tuesday.
According to ESPN, the deal makes Garrett the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
Garrett, of course, is known for almost murdering a player on an NFL field when he struck then Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with his own helmet resulting in a six-game suspension during the Pittsburgh-Cleveland game.
The former Texas A&M Aggie has been a sack master since entering the league in 2017 totaling 30.5 sacks in three seasons.
The 24-year-old is now the highest-paid defensive player in average annual salary.
