Multisport Athlete Bubba Chandler chooses Clemson

Chris's Corner

The Clemson Tigers received a different kind of commitment than they usually do when Bubba Chandler committed to the school Wednesday.

Chandler just two short weeks ago was committed to Georgia to play baseball for the Bulldogs before switching gears and committing to Death Valley.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder from Bogart, Georgia shared an infinity for both baseball and football but a call from Clemson coaches May 7th swayed him to head to the Tigers. According to ESPN, the dual threat QB then received offers from Miami, Louisville, Ole Miss, Washington State and numerous others.

At North Oconee High School, Chandler threw for 2098 passing yards, ran for 505 yards and totaled 31 touchdowns his senior year according to 247 Sports.

The Tigers have their star QB in Trevor Lawrence but Chandler will certainly compete for his back-up position this Fall.
