Major League Baseball brought down swift and hard justice on the Oakland A’s and Houston Astros after a bench-clearing incident Tuesday.
According to CBS Sports, Center Fielder Ramon Laureano was suspended six games and fined for charging the Astros bench where Houston hitting coach Alex Cintron was suspended 20 games and fined for “escalating the conflict.”
Laureano is appealing the suspension where Cintrons’ suspension was upheld and marked the longest by an assistant coach in modern history.
Oakland is sitting at 13-6 on the season and Houston is sitting at 7-10.
