The Major League Baseball Players Association rejected another proposal by the league asking for a set 2020 schedule instead Friday.
According to ESPN, a March agreement between the two parties allows the league to set a schedule where the feeling is that it would be a 50-game season with players receiving a full salary of around $1.25 million.
The MLB is set to lose millions forcing them to propose numerous plans to teams on players possibly taking lesser money or incentives but has been rejected each time vehemently.
If the season schedule was set by the league there are discussions that there would be a brief three-week spring training to implement all the coronavirus safety/procedures necessary for each club and of course, make sure each team/player is ready for the abridged season but until then baseball is still at a standstill.
