Miami Heat’s Goran Dragic, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo suffer big injuries against Lakers in Game 1

Chris's Corner

The Miami Heat will be without one of their best players for the 2020 NBA Finals as point guard Goran Dragic suffered a torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

According to CBSSports, Dragic suffered the injury during the second quarter while driving against the Lakers’ Rajon Rondo, although he did not exit the game immediately, he did not return to the court after halftime and his return to the series is uncertain.

The Heat are also dealing with injuries to Bam Adebayo who has a shoulder strain and Jimmy Butler who twisted his ankle on a drive.

The superstar center exited the game six minutes before the end of the third quarter after battling with Los Angeles’s Dwight Howard for a rebound where the Heat’s best overall player Butler twisted his ankle while driving on Anthony Davis during the second quarter of their eventual 116-98 beatdown at the hands of the Lakers.

It will be interesting to see if Adebayo and Butler can return and what their percentage of health will be as all three players are the best overall players on the Heat’s roster against the heavily favored Lakers.
