The Miami Dolphins made two major moves Saturday waiving short-tenured quarterback Josh Rosen and trading for rookie specialist Lynn Bowden Jr.
According to ESPN, the Dolphins tried to actively find a trade partner but found no suitors being forced to let him go after just one season.
The 23-year-old is entering his third season in the NFL and will likely be on a third NFL team.
Optically, it will be slightly difficult one would think for a player such as Rosen to find another home given the Cardinals moved on from him after one season trading him in 2019 to the Dolphins and with Miami’s draft pick of Tua Tagovailoa and veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, there was no need for a heady cocky youngster any longer.
Now the Dolphins desperately need some playmakers outside of DaVante Parker and may have potentially found one trading for specialist Lynn Bowden Jr. and a 6th round pick.
Miami sent Las Vegas a fourth-round pick and get a do-it-all player in Bowden.
According to NFL.com, Bowden played quarterback, running back, returner and wide receiver at the University of Kentucky leading the Wildcats with 1,468 rush yards while passing for 403 yards and three touchdowns.
In his three seasons, he collected 1,530 rush yards, 1303 receiving yards, 495 passing yards and 1628 return yards with 24 total touchdowns so he will certainly have the opportunity to shine in Brian Flores Miami-led offense.
