The Memphis Grizzlies took a tough blow as forward Jaren Jackson Jr.’s season is over after tearing his meniscus in his left knee Tuesday.
According to ESPN, the Grizz announced Tuesday night, Jackson “experienced an unstable landing with an opposing player,” during Monday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans further revealing the injury.
This is a huge loss for Memphis as Jackson has been dominant averaging 25-points per game while averaging shooting 40% from beyond the arc in the three games in the bubble.
For the season, Jackson is averaging 17-points (second on the team), 4.6-boards, while shooting 39% from three (first among starters).
The Grizzlies currently sit in the eighth spot of the Western Conference with the Trail Blazers, Spurs trailing only two games and the Pelicans at 2.5.
