Robert Woods is cashing in as the Rams receiver and Los Angeles have agreed on to a four-year, $65 million dollar extension Saturday.
According to ESPN, Woods' deal includes $32 million in guaranteed dollars that will tie him with the Inglewood squad until at least 2024.
This is a lot of money but since joining Los Angeles, Woods ranks among the top 11 NFL receivers in receptions, receiving yards and yards after the catch.
He produced consecutive 1,000 receiving yards in 2018 and 2019 and led all NFL receivers with 577 yards after catch.
Woods has undoubtedly been the most consistent receiver for Los Angeles since arriving there and has a real chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff, while this deal is shoving a lot of money to their best players (possibly overpaying a few) I guess if you're the Rams and you got the money you might as well allocate it to their best players.
