The Los Angeles Chargers are suffering a big blow in their secondary as Pro-Bowl safety Derwin James is likely to miss significant time with a meniscus tear he suffered in Sunday’s practice.
According to NFL.com, this is just another setback James has suffered in his short career with the Bolts missing 11 games last season with a stress fracture in his foot and now he may miss the beginning of the season with this latest injury.
The former Florida State Seminole came out of the gates sensational recording 105 total tackles, 13 passes defended, 3.5 sacks and 3 interceptions in 2018.
The 2019 season, he recorded 34 total tackles in just four games so for Los Angeles’ sake they need James to rest and recover fully to a potential sneaky dangerous defense this coming season.
