One of the more underrated receivers is finally getting his payday as Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen has agreed to a four-year, $80 million dollar extension Saturday.
According to ESPN, the 28-year-old is cashing in with over $50 million in guaranteed dollars and deservedly so playing his seven-year entire career in San Diego and Los Angeles being the Bolts top receiver each season.
For his career, Allen has 524 receptions (good for fifth overall in team history) for 6,405 yards (sixth in franchise history) and 34 total touchdowns (10th in franchise history) in 86 games.
Despite having a few injury-riddled seasons, Allen came back with a vengeance hauling in 104 receptions for 1,199 yards and six touchdowns.
The deal makes Allen the second highest-paid receiver behind Atlanta Falcons superstar Julio Jones for the coming season.
