Kansas State continues to reinforce their belief in coach Chris Klieman as the two sides agreed to a six-year, $23.5 million dollar deal Monday evening.
According to ESPN, The Wildcats football coach is 10-7 through 17 games with two wins against the Big 12’s best Oklahoma Sooners.
The 53-year-old was the lowest paid coach in the Big 12 but that will surely change thanks to his new contract increasing his base salary to $3.1 million next season and $4.3 million the final four.
Klieman has a career coaching record of 82-19 with four FCS National Titles while at North Dakota State.
His Wildcats are currently (2-1) heading into this Saturday’s tilt against the (1-1) TCU Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
