Kansas Guard Marcus Garrett to return for Senior Year

Kansas guard Marcus Garrett announced Wednesday that he will return for his senior year. As a junior Agbaji started all 31 games for the Jayhawks finishing second on the team in rebounding 4.5 boards per game and steals at 1.8 per game, according to ESPN.


The Dallas,TX. guard earned Big 12 and AP Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors, was a unanimous selection to the all Big-12 defensive team and landed on the all Big-12 second team averaging 9-points, 4-boards, 4-assists and 1.8-steals per game.


Head coach Bill Self called Garrett the “jack of all traits,” finishing first on the team in assists (144) and second in steals (56), rebounds (140) and three-pointers made (46), according to ESPN.


Sophomore guard Devon Dotson already announced he will be forgoing his junior season and entering in the NBA draft, Ochai Agbaji announced yesterday he will be returning to KU for his junior season leaving senior Udoka Azubuike as the lone starter left to make a decision. (who thanks to the new NCAA ruling from the corona-virus outbreak, can technically apply for an extra year of eligibility).
