Oh, my God, look at those Chiefs! Kansas City added another huge weapon signing star running back Le’Veon Bell to a one-year deal Thursday evening.
According to ESPN, the veteran running back was released by the New York Jets earlier this week and a few short days later chose the reigning Super Bowl Champs as his next home for the rest of the season.
The 28-year-old narrowed his choices down to Chiefs, Bills and Dolphins before ultimately choosing Kansas City in hopes of winning a World Championship before his career is over.
The former Michigan State Spartan will have to go through five days of COVID-19 testing before he can join the Chiefs, according to NFL protocols so the soonest he will be available would be the October 25th date versus the Broncos in Denver Sunday afternoon.
The 4-1 Chiefs are 13th in the league at rushing but 19th after week one.
Le’Veon Bell will likely have dual carries with rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire in what figures to be an even more potent offense moving forward.
Since joining the league in 2013, Bell has rushed for 6,199 yards and hauled in another 3,160 yards with 46 total touchdowns.
