The Kansas City Chiefs took a major blow to their secondary as rookie cornerback La’Jaruis Sneed will be out indefinitely with a broken collarbone.
According to ChiefsWire.com, Sneed suffered the injury while trying to make a play on the ball, colliding with a defender then hitting the turf hard during a 34-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens Monday Night.
Sneed, a fourth-round selection out of the 2020 NFL Draft, was playing excellent thus far for the Chiefs recording a team-high two interceptions with three passes defended and 11 total tackles for Kansas City this season.
He will likely be placed on injured reserve while veteran corner Bashaud Breeland will return from his four-game suspension likely this week or the next.
The (3-0) Chiefs welcome Cam Newton and the (3-0) New England Patriots to Kansas City Sunday.
