The Kansas City Chiefs suffered three losses during Sunday’s game against Las Vegas.
They lost the game 40-32 but in the process lost Sammy Watkins and Kelechi Osemele.
Watkins was injured during the second quarter of Sunday’s tilt hobbling off the field with an apparent hamstring injury to which he did not return.
The former Clemson Tiger is third on the team in catches (29), yards (222) and receiving touchdowns (2) and will likely miss two games of which are against the Bills in Buffalo and Broncos at home.
Receivers DeMarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman will look to fill the void in Watkin’s absence.
As for Osemele, the starting left guard’s season is over suffering torn tendons in both his knees Sunday afternoon.
Osemele was injured without being hit, stumbling to the turf while trying to protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes on a broken pass play.
He was taken off the field with a cart and did not return for the rest of the game.
Veteran Mike Remmers will likely fill the void in Osemele’s absence moving forward.
The 4-1 Chiefs play the 4-0 Bills in Buffalo next Monday afternoon.
