JR Smith to sign with the Lakers, Joakim Noah to sign with the Clippers

Chris's Corner

The shirtless wonder is back as J.R. Smith is returning to the NBA signing with the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the season.

The 34-year-old hasn’t played in an NBA game since November 2018 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Smith’s signing reunites him with teammate Lebron James who he spent five seasons with in the ‘Land including capturing a championship in 2016

Since being drafted out St. Benedict’s Prep (New Jersey) in 2004, Smith has played 15 seasons in the NBA with the New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers averaging a career 12.5-points, 3-boards shooting 42% from the floor.

Their cross-court rivals Clippers countered that move by signing veteran center Joakim Noah to a contract for the remainder of the season.

The two-time all-star averaged 7-points and 5.7-boards for the Memphis Grizzlies last season and will look to be a key bench spark for the Clippers as they aim to reach their first championship berth.
