Jets All-Pro safety Jamal Adams is not expected to participate in the NFL’s voluntary virtual offseason programs. New York has not expressed any interest in extending Adams’ contract thus far, according to ESPN.
The team did entertain offers for Adams at last year’s trade deadline. An extension for this first-rounder would be rare as only 15 of 191 first-round picks from 2011-16 received extensions after their third season: only four of them are defensive players: J.J. Watt, Robert Quinn, Luke Kuechly and Patrick Peterson.
