A big fight announcement happened Wednesday as heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have “agreed in principle,” to fight times in 2021.
According to promoter Eddie Hearn, there is no signed contract yet but the first fight will likely be in the summer of 2021 once the financials are worked out.
Fury is the WBC and lineal heavyweight after knocking out Tyson Fury in February and Joshua is the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion after defeating Andy Ruiz in June 2019.
Neither have fought since the coronavirus pandemic but this will surely be a site to see once financials are finalized.
