My favorite bowling ball running back is calling it a career at C.J. Anderson is retiring from the NFL at age 29.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Anderson is planning to pursue a career in coaching, likely at a Power Five (SEC, Big Ten, ACC, Pac-12 or Big 12).
The former California Golden Bear played eight seasons in the NFL, winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014.
He had his best season in 2017 rushing for 1,007 yards with four total touchdowns off a 4.1-yard-per-carry clip with the Denver Broncos.
For his career, Anderson has rushed for 3,497 rushing yards with 22 touchdowns for the Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.
