Two games have been postponed in the college football landscape Thursday.
According to ESPN, Saturday's game between LSU and Florida has been postponed to Dec. 12th after Florida had 18 positive COVID-19 tests amongst scholarship players.
Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said most of the players are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms but following SEC guidelines they would not have the required mandatory amount of players to play during their game so this is the right move.
In the same breath, No.8-ranked Cincinnati and Tulsa’s tilt has been postponed following a slew of positive tests between the two teams to Dec. 5th at Tulsa.
The Golden Wave have only played two games this season due to coronavirus-related postponements.
All players of all that have tested positive will self-isolate per CDC guidelines for at least 14 days while passing a negative test before rejoining the team.
