Florida Atlantic landed a big-time recruit Tuesday as quarterback Shedeur Sanders committed to the school.
Sanders, is of course, the son of NFL Hall-of-Famer Deon “Primetime” Sanders, and is the No. 8-ranked pocket passer (No. 41 overall) according to the ESPN 300 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback out of Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas is the first ESPN 300 recruit in the school's history.
Sanders will compete with dual-threat Willie Taggert Jr. (son of Owls coach Willie Taggert) for a starting position this Fall.
As a junior at TCS, Sanders threw for 3,477 yards, 47 touchdowns to just four interceptions according to MaxPreps.com
