Former Jaguars’ linebacker Telvin Smith has been arrested in Jacksonville and charged with a count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to the Duval County Jail website Tuesday.
The 29-year-old was booked into jail at 5:20 E.T and late released on a $50,003 bond, according to ESPN. There is currently no court date listed.
According to the arrest warrant, Smith was acused of having sex with a 17-year-old both in his home and vehicle last August and September.
The Pro-Bowler was due to make $9.75 million last season but that’s since the arrest been paused until if/when he returns to the Jaguars team.
Since he entered the league no player has more solo tackles (441) and his 581 total tackles rank fourth in that span, according to Pro-Football Reference.
