Erik Moses becomes the first African American track president for Nashville Speedway Saturday

NASCAR made history announcing that Erik Moses will be the next Nashville Speedway track president and the first African American track president in racing history.


Accordion to Yahoo Sports!, the 1.33 mile concrete track announced its plan to reopen in June of 2021.


Moses brings decades of experience in the sports and entertainment world around Washington D.C. most recently founding the XFL’s DC Defenders and being a longtime executive at Events DC helping develop the Military Bowl and AT&T’s Nation Football classic.


Nashville speedway was built in 2001 by Dover Motorsports and hosted both NASCAR and IndyCar events ever since.
