The coronavirus has hit the NFL in a big way as the Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday they have closed their facilities until Saturday after three players and five team personnel tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to ESPN, the eight new positive tests are asymptomatic while the team are citing “an abundance of caution,” moving forward this week.
The league protocol for players who test positive for COVID-19 and remain asymptomatic can return 10 days after the test or after five days with consecutive negative tests within a five-day period.
All players that have tested positive must be cleared by the team’s physician, pass a negative test and undergo cardiac testing.
